Homecoming returns to Lake Placid next week, bringing a full week of Dragon traditions, class reunions and community celebrations leading up to Friday’s Homecoming parade.
The week begins Monday, September 28, with the annual Homecoming bonfire. Lake Placid High School has posted information about the event here.
Throughout the week, downtown businesses will also be getting into the Homecoming spirit through Paint the Town Green, a window decorating contest sponsored by the Town of Lake Placid and 33852 Connect. Businesses are being encouraged to decorate their windows in green and white in support of Lake Placid High School.
Judging will take place Thursday, October 1, beginning at 3 p.m., with prizes awarded and recognition planned for participating businesses.
The Homecoming parade will make its way through downtown Lake Placid Friday, October 2, beginning at 10 a.m. In addition, several classes have planned reunions for next weekend.
Lake Placid Insider will be out throughout the week photographing the celebrations and looks forward to featuring the businesses, alumni, students and community members who take part.
Homecoming is a chance to reconnect with old friends, catch the parade, head to the football game and enjoy some of the traditions that make Lake Placid feel like home.
