Florida author Christy Swift will visit the Lake Placid Memorial Library this Saturday for a meet-and-greet and book signing hosted by Friends of the Library.
The event will be held Saturday, June 13, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Lake Placid Memorial Library, 205 W. Interlake Boulevard in Lake Placid.
Swift writes what she describes as “geeky love stories,” including romantic comedies under the name Christy Swift and sci-fi and sci-fantasy under the name C.P. Swift. Her books blend romance, humor and speculative fiction, with stories aimed at readers who enjoy smart, offbeat characters and a little heat along the way.
The featured book for Saturday’s event is Hollywood Hookup, a romantic comedy by Christy Swift.
In addition to her fiction work, Swift is a freelance writer and social media content provider for medical and technology clients. She is also the editor of the award-winning Heartland LIVING magazine and is represented by Cathie Hedrick-Armstrong of Marsal Lyon Literary Agency.
The local appearance gives readers a chance to meet the author, talk about books and learn more about her work in romance, science fiction and fantasy. According to the event flyer, space is limited and RSVPs are appreciated.
